Information I Collect

BallisticsCalculator.io is a free, static web application. I do not require user accounts and I collect minimal data. The information I collect falls into two categories:

Analytics Data

I use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. Google Analytics collects anonymized data including pages visited, time spent on the site, referring websites, browser type, device type, and approximate geographic location. This data is aggregated and cannot be used to identify individual users. Google Analytics uses cookies to distinguish unique visitors. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Contact Form Submissions

When you submit the contact form, I collect the information you provide: your name, email address, and message. This data is processed by Netlify Forms and is used solely to respond to your inquiry. I do not share contact form submissions with third parties.

Information I Do Not Collect

I do not collect personal information beyond what is described above. I do not require user accounts or passwords. All ballistics calculations are performed in your browser and are not sent to any server. I do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties.

Cookies and Tracking

This site uses cookies only for Google Analytics (as described above) and for storing your theme preference (light or dark mode). I do not use advertising cookies, social media tracking pixels, or any other third-party tracking technologies.

PWA and Local Storage

BallisticsCalculator.io is a Progressive Web App (PWA). When you visit the site, a service worker may cache static assets (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, images) on your device to enable faster loading and offline access. This cached data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to any server. You can clear this cached data at any time through your browser settings.

Third-Party Services

I use the following third-party services:

• Google Analytics — website usage analytics. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
• Netlify — website hosting and form processing. Governed by Netlify's Privacy Policy.

Data Retention

Google Analytics data is retained according to Google's default retention settings. Contact form submissions are retained only as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry and are periodically deleted.

Your Rights

You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal information I hold about you. Since I collect minimal data and do not maintain user accounts, the primary personal data I may hold is contact form submissions.
